The Wall That Heals exhibit includes a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center. The traveling exhibit honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War and it bears the names of the 58,279 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam.

The Wall Volunteers Needed

The Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall is coming to New Bern. It will be open to the public April 8 – 11, 2021 in Lawson Creek Park 24 hours a day. We need volunteers to act as ambassadors, parking attendants, help with volunteer check-in and do other odd jobs and run errands. Please join us and help make this an event to remember. Sign up for one or more shifts by clicking on the link below and you will be contacted by a member of the Committee. All volunteers should attend a training session on Wednesday, April 7th at 6:00 PM.

There are two types of Traffic and Parking Control positions available: 1. Front Gate – this position requires minimal standing and walking, 2. Traffic/Parking Control – these positions require significant standing and walking. Visit www.thewallatnewbern.com if you are interested in volunteering.
